A few days back, i was asked to sample and review the new Hydrating CC cream from Studio Gear Cosmetics along with a few other products. This post is going to be a review about the CC cream as well as a brief introduction about the other products.
According to the website, Hydrating CC Cream transforms and enhances your complexion in an incredibly light, smooth formula. This foundation simultaneously fights aging, retains moisture, and covers and treats blemishes with a non-oily, perfectly radiant finish. Key Benefits include the prevention fine lines and wrinkles with collagen-building ingredients, restoration of skin elasticity by promoting moisture retention, and brightening and illumination of skin with a non-oily, complete coverage application.
I used this product in Natural shade as a part of my make up in order to attend a family dinner. Here’s the verdict.
The hydrating CC cream is incredibly light weight and has a lotion-y consistency which helps spread it around easily before it turns thick as it is blended in. It provides a very soft, moisturized feeling to the skin throughout the wear. To add, it doesn’t clog pores and cleans off easily. As you can see, it goes on white, and then gains color as you spread it further.
P.S Dont fret the color shown above. My face is tanner than the skin under my forearm.
Now, the bad. Although the CC cream is fit for casual day to day use, it has the tendency to wear off in a few hours. Its also not the best option if youre looking for serious coverage. A few light blemishes here and there are fine but it wont cover everything and youd have to resort to your concealer to take care of it.
All in all a so-so product. I definitely recommend it for use at a casual setting but dont count on it for anything you wanna look less than perfect for. The product retails at about $34 at the Studio Gear cosmetics website, and is available in three shades, namely Linen, Natural, and Wheat.
Right now, you have the opportunity to try this product at a 10% discount by using the code bloggercc at checkout. You can find the Hydrating CC cream at the link provided here.
I also had the opportunity to sample other Studio Gear products including the Studio Gear’s Impactful Mascara which retails for $18 and the Prime Objective face primer, retailing at about $30-35 on the Studio Gear website. Although i wasnt very impressed with the mascara, its safe to say that the Prime Objective face primer is my favorite product out of all the Studio Gear products i have tried so far.
